MAIT Nordics acquires CaeTek to strengthen engineering simulations capabilities across Nordics and Baltics
Uniting specialized Altair expertise with MAIT Nordics’ simulation team to accelerate a Closed–Loop, Intelligent Digital Thread for Nordic manufacturing
Espoo, Finland, April 21, 2026.
MAIT Nordics today announced it has acquired CaeTek, a specialist organisation in Altair software solutions, consulting, training and support across the Nordics. CaeTek’s headquarters is in Tampere and the company has operations in Denmark and Norway, in addition to Finland.
A clear next step in MAIT Nordics’ strategy for client value
Jussi Jalasjoki, Managing Director, MAIT Nordics comments: “We’re executing our Nordics and Baltics strategy with renewed focus, built on the 30‑year heritage of the former IDEAL GRP. By combining CaeTek’s expertise with our simulation team, we help clients solve complex design challenges and advance a Closed‑Loop, Intelligent Digital Thread with high‑fidelity simulation embedded in the manufacturing lifecycle.”
The acquisition aligns with broader market shifts following Siemens’ completion of its acquisition of Altair Engineering Inc, strengthening Siemens’ simulation and industrial AI portfolio with additional capabilities including mechanical and electromagnetic simulation, high-performance computing (HPC), data science and AI. CaeTek brings specialized regional competence in Altair solutions and customer support, complementing MAIT Nordics’ industrial digitalization focus and delivery scale.
Altair authorization across the Nordics and Baltics
This is a pivotal step for simulation in the region: MAIT Nordics has now secured Altair rights across the Nordics and Baltics, providing value to both CaeTek’s and MAIT Nordics’ clients.
CaeTek clients will keep the same Altair-focused consulting, training, and local support, now strengthened by MAIT Nordics’ broader offering delivery capability and regional scale across the Nordics and Baltics.
MAIT Nordics clients now benefit from CaeTek’s Altair expertise, gaining expanded engineering simulation services and support in the Nordics and Baltics.
Together, this strengthens how MAIT Nordics can support Nordic manufacturers apply engineering simulation more effectively and bring deeper Altair specialization and regional delivery strength under one roof.
